Why Was This Child Safety Kit Created?
In the fall of 2006 the programmer's daughter went missing. The search took many community members and law enforcement officers. The child was found and did recover from the incident and the perpetrator was prosecuted.
However, through that experience the programmer realized how much time was wasted before the search could start just gathering information, getting phone numbers, locating current photos, etc.. After the incident was over, the programmer began searching for the perfect Child Identification Kit. She found many online ranging widely is prices. each time she bought one she discovered it either did not have everything she wanted in it or it was too expensive to buy one for each of her many children. many were hard to use or just plain awkward to organize.
After several disappointing purchases the very frustrated mother decided to create one that would have everything she was looking for.
Since the fall of 2006 well over four hundred hours of creating, programming, testing, updating and re-vamping has gone into the creation of this now complete Child Identification Safety Kit.
The other thing that this mother / programmer found frustrating was the expense of having to buy a different copy for each child and then having to buy a new set of copies each time and update would be needed.
